Building Analysis

Thermal Imaging Surveys & Heat Loss Detection

Professional infrared thermal imaging to identify heat loss, insulation defects, and building envelope issues. Non-invasive analysis for energy improvements.

Heat Loss Analysis

Identify Hidden Heat Loss and Building Defects

Thermal imaging uses infrared technology to visualise temperature differences across your building's surfaces. This non-invasive technique reveals hidden issues that are invisible to the naked eye.

Our professional thermal surveys identify areas of heat loss, missing or defective insulation, air leakage points, thermal bridging, and moisture issues—helping you prioritise energy improvements and reduce heating costs.

Our Thermal Imaging Services

  • Building envelope thermal analysis
  • Heat loss identification
  • Insulation defect detection
  • Air leakage visualisation
  • Moisture and damp detection
  • Detailed thermal imaging reports

Why Thermal Imaging Matters

  • Identify hidden heat loss areas
  • Prioritise energy improvements
  • Detect insulation gaps and defects
  • Find air leakage points
  • Non-invasive investigation

Combined with Air Testing

Thermal imaging is particularly effective when combined with air leakage testing. While the blower door pressurises the building, thermal imaging can pinpoint exactly where air infiltration is occurring.

FAQ

Thermal Imaging FAQs

Thermal imaging can detect heat loss through walls, roofs, windows, and doors, missing or defective insulation, air leakage points, thermal bridging, moisture and damp issues, and underfloor heating problems.

Thermal imaging surveys are most effective during the heating season (October to April) when there is a significant temperature difference between inside and outside. Ideally, the survey should be conducted in the early morning or evening.
